Ashley Judd Just Perfectly Explained What Mental Health Crisis Feels Like

“Our mother couldn’t hang on until she was inducted into the Hall of Fame by her peers. I mean, that is the level of catastrophe of what was going on inside of her,” Judd said.

There simply is no better way to explain mental health crisis.

I wanted to applaud Ashley Judd for her eloquent way of explaining that anyone enduring mental health crisis is truly at the mercy of their own negative thoughts. Sometimes, that pit is so large that there’s no way out. She spoke to Good Morning America about the passing of her mother, Naomi, who did die by suicide last month.

If you’ve ever asked yourself what it feels like to be in such despair, this is the easiest and most concise way to explain it. Ashley goes on to say, “Because the barrier between the regard in which they held her couldn’t penetrate into her heart, and the lie that the disease told her was so convincing.”
