Memorial Day Weekend means summer is here! I thought it was time to celebrate and get started with a list of songs you’ll want on your playlist this summer.
Don’t think for a second that I forgot the classics here. I added some new stuff that may strike your fancy too.
Let’s go Summer ’22!
- 1. “Summer Breeze” – Type O Negative. I just love this cover so much!
2. “Santeria” – Sublime. Okay, if we’re being honest, any Sublime song is a summer song. This one, however, is my favorite. Unfortunately, Bradley wouldn’t live to see its success. Crank it in his honor!
3. “Naked” – Finneas. Billie Eilish’s big brother is a musical genius! We’re going to hear more from him after this. I love the laid back beat here.
4. “Down” – 311. Another iconic summer staple.
5. “Summertime Blues” – Rush. Ever worked a summer job? You’ll relate to this.
6. “Feeling This” – Blink 182. “Fate fell short this time, your smile fades in the summer. Place your hand in mine, I’ll leave when I wanna.”
Demi Lovato is a honorable mention this summer too. Word on the street is that she’s putting out a new single on June 10th, and I’m so here for whatever she’s going to do in the rock world!
