If you know anything about David Bowie at all, you know that he’s a highly respected artist who was never shy about sharing his societal opinions.

He always seemed to share them in the appropriate way too; choosing to write out his thoughts in his songs or engage in diplomatic conversations held in interviews instead of screaming about them.

One of these moments (an old interview with MTV) really highlighted how blind society can be to the hurt we can cause black Americans.
