Let me be the first to admit that I know you haven’t seen these on the ‘gram yet, but they’re coming! I promise!
A lot of you know that I celebrated my thirtieth birthday recently. Btw, if you missed me getting sentimental about that, you can read this.
Moving on: YES, I did treat myself for my birthday this year! I’m so grateful to have a new job that allows me to be able to do this. So, yeah, you can bet your girl spent a little money on me this year. Check this out!
These are just a few things that I decided to get for me, in honor of my birthday. Would you like any of them for yourself?
Let’s start with the accessories, and then move onto clothes… and then docs. Oh yes, we’re going there! Hold up for a minute to see my excitement!
- First, you need this lock necklace in your life. I was inspired by Jag Lever to get it for myself, and I think it’s such a rock n’ roll way to dress up any casual outfit. Stay tuned to see how I style it!
- I’d also like to point your attention to a cute nod to Beetlejuice thanks to Hot Topic. It’s a camera locket necklace that I can’t wait to use it to add a witchy element to some of my favorite black clothes.
- I invested in a moon and star belt from ModCloth just to add a little gold, shimmer, and astrological vibes to my wardrobe. This Capricorn is very pleased with its arrival!
- These zodiac vibes continued in some clothing purchases as well. This is most noted in a star blouse and star kimono that I got from Shein. I’m planning on rocking the blouse at work and for happy hours after it!
…and finally, the prized possession that’s now in my possession… my very first pair of Doc Marten boots.
Most of you know that this was a pivotal moment for me. Doc Martens are an essential part of any rocker chic’s wardrobe, and it saddened me to think that I didn’t have a pair yet. That changed now! I purchased these babies with an Urban Outfitters deal for $130. They typically run at $180. These are Doc Martens in Jadon form. The platform is what sold me on them.
