It’s so hard to choose, but I’m excited about these upcoming shows in Minnesota this year.

For 2020, I’m hoping that earning a little more at my new job will mean attending more shows. It’s one of my favorite things to do. If you like to go to shows too, check out this list of ones you just might be interested in.

I gathered some cool shows that are happening in my area, Rochester, and in the Cities. Let’s do this!?

• MGC Ladies at Taco JED: Tacos and music. I ain’t mad at that. These ladies are always a treat to listen to! Mark your calendar for February 8th.
• Root River Jam at Charlies Eatery & Pub: February is shaping up to be a big month for shows in the Rochester area. They’re playing new music at this show on February 8th!
• Jeff White at Smoak BBQ: This is going to be one of your first chances to see what a show at Smoak is like in Rochester. DOn’t miss it! Especially if you’re a country fan. Jeff is here on January 11th.
• Debbie Anthony at Five West: On January 11th, “country artist Debbie Anthony performing a mix of original songs from her new album, along with covers from a variety of genres.”
• Trace Adkins at Mayo Civic Center: A Thursday night dose of country on January 23rd! Enjoy it! He’s an icon.
• Nite Shift at North Star Bar: They are so fun to watch live! Do it on January 11th!
• Bret Michaels at Treasure Island: Need I say more? This could be a pretty sweet Valentine’s Day date.
• Motion City Soundtrack at The Fillmore: This show sold out so fast that a February 17th date was added!
• First Avenue’s Best New Bands of 2019: We’re talking FruitPunchLoverBoy, Green/Blue, Loki’s Folly, Mae Simpson, Muun Bato, Nur-D, and Under Violet here.
• Who Is Jill Scott? – 20th Anniversary Tour: The Queen is back! She makes her entrance on February 25th.
• Evanescence at The Fillmore: Amy Lee. ‘Nuff said. May 14th.
• Killswitch Engage – Atonement Tour: August Burns Red joins them on this too, in April.
• Machine Head – Burn My Eyes 25th Anniversary – Skyway Theatre: They’re amazing live. Go this February!
• Of Montreal w/ Lily and Horn Horse: Coming in March.
• G. Love & Special Sauce with Shamarr Allen at First Avenue: Classics right here! Coming in January.
• Brantley Gilbert at Target Center: Brantley Gilbert brings his Fire’t Up 2020 Tour with special guests Dylan Scott & Brandon Lay to Target Center this February!
• Big Turn Music Festival 2020: The best and quickest way to catch some sick acts all at once. Head to Red Wing in February!
• Kenny Chesney, Chillaxification Tour: Coming on May 2nd! His website says, “Joining him for this summer’s adventure are Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead.”
• Her Crooked Heart: You’re going to see a variety of instruments played here!
• 9th Planet Out CD Release Show: This is a show that Minnesota rock fans don’t want to miss! EAON, City of the Weak and Cold Kingdom join them on March 20th in Rochester.
