It’s free too!
If you’re reading this, I’m going to guess that you have a small business or know someone who does.
My favorite part about small businesses is that they’re usually local. They’re friendly. They’re fast. They serve your community. They serve your needs. Are they pricey? Sometimes. However, you’re funding someone’s dance lessons for their daughter verses putting money into corporate pockets. It’s an awesome idea to support them!
With job changes in my family, I’ve definitely had to watch my wallet this season. I just can’t support every small business that I like financially. However, I am learning that I can support them in other ways.
That’s where social media comes in.
Check out this post that I’ve seen go viral.
You really can support a small business in your own community by spreading the word about them on social media. Hey, it’s better than seeing Uncle Jim rant about politics for the fifth post that day, right!?
I’ll throw in a bonus tip too: when it comes to my website, my best friend is cross-promotion. I know that we all have our favorite social media platforms. Some of us like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat better – and that’s awesome! Wherever you like to get content from, I do my best to be present on that platform. I try to share blogs I write on all of those platforms and link them accordingly at optimal times. If you’re a small business, you can do the same! If you’re a friend or loved one who wants to support, again, share and comment away! The algorithm will bless them for this.
Give a business you know (or want to know) a share, like, or comment, or tag on social media. Let the world (and algorithm) know who they are!
I copied the above post for my own website. Copy it for your own business and try it out!
You’ll be amazed at the support you’ll see.
