A deputy in Winona County stopped a baby snapping turtle for basically living his best life and making no apologies for crossing a road alone – because he (or she?) is an independent turtle, thank you very much. He don’t need no man or wo-man by his side to do what he wants.

Thankfully, this turtle made it across the road safely thanks to the kind deputy.
