It’s the question we’ve been asking all morning.

We’ve been hearing rumors that metal festivals Northern Invasion, Carolina Rebellion, and Rock On The Range are “canceled” for next year. Is it true?

Here’s what we know…

• No official confirmation of any cancellation from Northern Invasion or Carolina Rebellion.
• Rock On The Range is “re-branding” next year. It appears that this means more alternative bands will be part of the new festival.
• Chicago Open Air is coming back, and rumors suggest Northern Invasion fans will be routed there.
• A new festival is supposedly in the works in North Carolina.

As a Northern Invasion attendee and media participant, I’m bummed about possibly losing the festival and I hope it doesn’t happen.
